As much as you can think of yourself as flexible and easy-going, sometimes we can struggle to live up to these ideals.

When big changes in life leave us feeling uncertain, we do whatever we can to regain our sense of control. Keeping our options open or ‘going with the flow’ can provoke feelings of restlessness, impatience, and eventually frustration. Deep inside we can’t help but think – ‘Why leave things up to chance when you could have a plan?’.

Well, the truth is there is a bigger plan running the show behind all. Can you have faith and trust the journey of life? Can you understand that no matter what you do or have done, whatever is happening now is exactly where you are supposed to be. There are lessons to be learned, and experiences to be processed, so you can grow as human & find wisdom within.

The laws of the Universe apply to everything and everyone, and sometimes what we really want doesn’t really align with our highest good. When dealing with hard changes, it is extremely powerful to differentiate between what you can and can’t control.

The most valuable lesson to learn here is to appreciate the importance of acceptance, and the emotional freedom this provides. The freedom to love what is, with no blame, controlling, judgment, or victimisation. You no longer dwell in your mind with ‘what ifs’ – as deep within you understand that changes are happening for you to find your true direction.

After all the anxiety or stress of trying to hold onto things that are constantly changing just create more stress. When you accept the impermanence of life, you learn to find peace with what is.

‘You will find that it is necessary to let things go; simply for the reason that they are heavy.’ – C. JoyBell C.
